WELCOME!

01_started.png

Welcome to Kinzin! We’ve created this service to allow groups to privately share photos, collaborate and create printed momentous that everyone can enjoy. You can sign up for free and create as many mini-sites (We call them Spaces) as you like for as many subjects and groups that you can imagine.

To create an account, click on the (Create my free account) button.

CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT

Choose the photos from your hard drive you want to share with your group.

05_started.png

The green progress bar will indicate how many photos you are uploading and approximately how long it will take.

NOTE: The length of time required to upload photos depends on your Internet connection speed and the size of your photos.

If you are uploading a lot of photos feel free to open another browser window and do something else while waiting.

ORGANIZING YOUR SPACE

06_started.png

Congratulations you have uploaded your first photos to Kinzin! You can now start organizing your Space.

NAMING YOUR SPACE

07_started.png

Most importantly, you should name your Space so everyone can recognize it. Roll your cursor over the words “My First Space” and click on the (edit) link.

08_started.png

Clicking on the (edit) link will open a new window where you can give your Space a new name. In this case we have called it “U11 Season 2009 to 2010”.

NAMING ALBUMS

09_started.png

Next, you can name the album where you uploaded your first photos to by rolling your cursor over the words “Untitled Album” and clicking on the (edit) link.

10_started.png

Clicking on the (edit) link will produce another window where you can rename the album from “Untitled Album”. In this example, we have called it “Game 1”.

NOTE: You can also click on the (Delete this album) link if you want to get rid of any album.

VIEWING AND ORGANIZING IMAGES

11_started.png

Once you have named the Space and the album then you can view and organize your images.

Clicking on the album name in the box with six small images will send you to a page where you can view all the thumbnail images that you uploaded.

started_drag.png

The thumbnail view is also a place where you can drag and drop the photos around to reorder them.

12_started.png

Clicking on one of the thumbnail images will produce the large view of that image.

13_started.png

From here you can do several things:

  • scroll through all your images in large view by clicking on the blue arrows on either side of the image
  • rotate the image clockwise and counter clockwise*
  • add a description*
  • delete the photo*
  • add a comment

Clicking on the large version of the photo will return you to the thumbnail view.

You can continue to upload photos and create new albums from either the thumbnail view or the large view.

*Only members who are Administrators and Contributors can perform these functions. A full list of member types and permissions can be found here.

INVITING MEMBERS

14_started.png

Now it’s time to invite people. Once you are satisfied with the photos that you have uploaded then you will be ready to share your Space with others.

You can invite members of your group to your Space by clicking on the (Members) button in the top right corner.

15_started.png

This will get you to page where you can click on a button named (+ Invite Members…).

16_started.png

Here you can invite one or more members at a time by filling in their name, email address and selecting which level of membership you want each to have.

A list containing the member types and associated permissions can be found here.

When you invite someone to your Space they will be sent an email telling him or her about the Space and what they can do there.

CREATING TRADING CARDS, PRINTS, BOOKS, ETC.

17_started.png

Last but not least, you should check out the various ways you and the members of your Space can reproduce the photos you have uploaded by clicking on the (Print Center) button.
